Teaching, leading and inspiring people to preserve, protect and enjoy nature, farming and the environment.
Let’s Go Birding Together! Celebrate Pride month with a special guided bird walk for our LGBTQIA+ community and their allies. No experience necessary! This walk is for seasoned bird enthusiasts and beginners alike. We will have binoculars to borrow if needed. We will start with light refreshments and some time to socialize, stroll for about an hour looking for birds and enjoying nature, and then return to the nature center for a raffle for some free prizes. The walk will go at a leisurely pace over fairly level ground through a variety of habitats near our nature center and will be led by Nenita Lapitan (she/her), Senior Manager, Center & Farm and Sam Romeo (he/him), Environmental Educator.
This event is free, but preregistration is required as the number of participants is limited. Please reserve one spot for every participant over 4 years of age. Meet in the lobby of Aullwood's Nature Center at 1000 Aullwood Road at least 5 minutes before the start of the event. The event starts promptly at the scheduled start time and ends promptly at the scheduled end time. Join us and Let's Go Birding Together!
